MnS Prologue – Part 1

Today, Weizsacker Imperial Academy was boisterous since early in the morning.

Weiz Empire was the number one power in the continent. And this academy gathered the sons and daughters of the nobles of that very empire as well as superior commoners from inside and outside the country. Its building had luxurious white walls, and was overflowed by extravagant ornaments, as if being an embodiment of the dignity of the empire.

When the morning bell at the affiliated church rang, the students whose eyes were full of curiosity successively came out to the clean hallway swept by the academy’s servants. Continue reading “MnS Prologue – Part 1”

Plan for Future Translations

As you may or may not know, Oyaji Kanojo has a lot of chapters (439 at the time of this post). And as you surely know, my translating speed is far from ideal for this amount of chapters. Frankly, I’m even slower than the author’s speed in releasing chapters (when I started, there are “only” 360+ chapters).

In other words, I’m fighting a losing battle.

Unlike those dedicated translators who can pump out chapter after chapter daily, I’m only doing this in my (keep dwindling) free time out of personal satisfaction. Therefore, the prospect of taking a lifetime to finish the series I’m working on thoroughly demotivated me from time to time.

Thus, I decided to drop Oyaji Kanojo after I finish translating the first arc (around chapter 30+) and pick up a new series in its place.

Having learned from my mistake, this time I chose a completed series with an encouraging amount of chapters (35 including side stories). The catch though, is that this series is much, much harder to translate than Oyaji Kanojo. In fact, it’s probably in the top 1% of WN in terms of flowery language usage.

The title is Muyoku no Seijo wa Okane ni Tokimeku / The Altruistic Saintess is Thrilled by Money. Have a synopsis.

Leo, a cheapskate boy who likes money more than anything, because of an unexpected circumstances, had his body swapped with a beautiful girl named Leona.

Leona was a young marchioness who lost her place in the noble society because of a false accusation. Then, unwilling to go to the academy filled with those nobles, she tried to escape by using sorcery.

Promised with an attractive sum of reward, Leo decided to go to the academy in place of Leona.

Leo was someone who, if appeared in the academy, would be chased away immediately. However, now with his (her?) peerless beauty and peculiar values, Leo was being mistaken as a [ Pure Maiden ] by his (her?) surroundings. The marquis couple, an imperial princess, and even the first imperial prince all began to have an interest?

This is the story of Leonora Von Halkenberg, who came to be called as the [ Altruistic Saintess ].

To tell the truth, I haven’t read this either aside from the prologue. But it is the highest ranked short-completed-gender bender series in Syosetu when sorted by the number bookmarks, so I guess it has to be somewhat good at the very least. I’ll release the first part of the prologue later today.

Hopefully, I’ll do a better job this time around. Thanks for your understanding.

In other news, Oyaji Kanojo chapter 22 is delayed because it’s literally almost twice as long as chapter 21.

OK Chapter 21: Breaking Down

A few days had passed since then.

I, who should’ve been a middle-aged man, am now already used to act like a high school girl, having completely adapted to my new life.

I close my legs when I sit on a chair, and mind my skirt when I use a stair.

I also held my breast when leaning forward while wearing clothes that shows my neck.

Being stared at by men was undoubtedly revolting, but more than that, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of superiority as a popular woman.

Even though until recently, I didn’t know anything about women at all.

It’s somewhat a mystery. Continue reading “OK Chapter 21: Breaking Down”
